Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)- is widely considered one of the most effective psychotherapies in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and related conditions. It is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that is conducted over the course of 12 sessions. Motivational Interviewing- a type of counseling that helps someone connect with their values and harness intrinsic motivation to make changes in their life. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)- a type of cognitive behavioral therapy  that balances acceptance and change strategies to help people better manage emotions, tolerate distress, and improve interpersonal effectiveness. It has been found effective in treating a number of difficulties including suicidality, self-harming behaviors, and borderline personality disorder. Community Reinforcement and Family Training or CRAFT- is a treatment intended to help family members and other loved ones of people who are struggling with an addictive disorder. The primary goals of this therapy are to improve the quality of life of the family member, to reduce their loved one’s substance use, and to help the person with the addictive disorder to enter treatment.
