I am a clinical social worker licensed in both Maine and Massachusetts. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wheaton College I went on to Simmons College where I earned a Masters degree in Social Work.
I offer therapy sessions that are highly personalized and tailored to your specific needs, goals, and preferences. My clinical background and experience allows me to address a wide range of concerns in my practice including; life transitions, healing after traumatic experiences, better managing anxiety and depression, recovering from addictions, as well as learning new skills to manage emotions, distress and interpersonal situations and improve relationships.
Helping people live in accordance with their personal values is central to my therapeutic work. Values based living is a vehicle for helping people to achieve more meaningful, vital, and flexible lives. The aim is for you to see results, approach life differently, and meet your personal goals.
Additionally, I have six years of experience working with military veterans and am passionate about serving those who served in our country's armed forces. I am also uniquely able to address sexual trauma after working in women’s trauma clinics and serving at the Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator for the VA Boston Medical Center. Professional affiliation is important to me, I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and I served on the Massachusetts Chapter, Nominations and Leadership identification Committee from 2013-2015.
When not working, I enjoy spending time outside, preferably at the beach or on a lake with my family.
